Julie Nesrallah…need I say more. Every week day from 9 am – 1 pm I listen to CBC Radio 2. Yes I know I’m so sophisticated because I listen to the CBC. Tempo is a radio show, hosted by Julie Nesrallah, and is my latest addiction. LOVE IT! She play all the great Classical music of all time. Some stuff you have heard, some stuff you know, stuff you did not know that you knew and new (old) stuff too.
I will not have meetings during this time and people can only chat with me as long as I can still get my Tempo on. The only thing that comes between Tempo and I is I may workout (because looking fabulous is about the only better thing than Tempo and spending time with JNEZ). Don’t worry people if you are like me and have something in the middle of you Tempo show you can go online and do the time shift. Shift to the Pacific feed and then you catch that hour up and don’t miss a delicious sound.
I love the fact that every day there is a fun segment or theme. This helps keep my Classic education and enjoyment organized, let us get one thing straight I really do not know much about Classical music other then I know pieces I like and dislike but only when heard. I have been learning some pieces and I can put some names to the greats works. For the year of 2009 our challenge was to listen to all 104 (please let me know if that is right) of the Haydn Symphonies. No one could even talk to me if they were playing (sadly i did miss several). Current favourite segments are Friday’s Music that Rocked Your World, were we hear the pieces that really impacted others when they were first listened to, and Tempo Cinerama for Tuesday at the movies were we hear the pieces of cinematic scores.
Tempo is my very sweet obsession! You can hear it on CBC Radio to in Calgary at 102.1 FM or on line by clicking on TEMPO and follow the links the the radio feed. Keep it up Julie!
